One opening for farm intern:
Dairy Intern: duties include milking goats, helping in dairy with making product (cheese, yogurt), quality control, jarring, kitchen sanitation maintenance and caring for animals.
Internships require at least 6 weeks commitment. Interns receive stipend and their own trailer with kitchen, bath. Expect to work 40-45 hours per week.
Have you already done a few internships? Are you ready to step up to being an “apprentice?” Duties include assisting horticulture manager in planting/harvesting, seeding, weeding, packing produce for deliveries, running farmers’ markets and occasional deliveries. Position requires someone who is organized, can take both direction and initiative, can demonstrate strong work ethic and efficiency. We’re an integrated Grade A Goat Dairy and produce farm supplying independent groceries, co-ops, farmers markets and restaurants in New Mexico. Our students (12 to 15 year-olds) provide key roles in production, distribution and sales. Must live on site.
