Two (2) openings for farm interns:
1. Horticulture: duties include weeding, planting, harvesting, working at wash station, seeding.
2. Dairy: duties include milking goats, helping in dairy with jarring, making product and clean-up, caring for animals.
Internships require at least 6 weeks commitment. Interns receive stipend and their own trailer with kitchen, bath. Expect to work 40-45 hours per week.
This position calls for an organic market-garden farmer with two years’ experience and is a full time, paid staff position. Must have sufficient experience in production to manage weekly distribution to grocery stores, farmer’s markets, CSA’s and restaurants. Duties include: maintenance of planting/harvesting schedule; directing interns and volunteers; coordinating store/restaurant sales, running farmers’ markets and occasional deliveries. Position requires someone who is organized with an ability to prioritize and increase efficiency. We’re an integrated Grade A Goat Dairy and produce farm supplying independent groceries, co-ops, farmers markets and restaurants in New Mexico. Our students (12 to 15 year-olds) provide key roles in production, distribution and sales. Must live on site.
